Automatic Torque Controlled Belt Tensioning

     

     

    The cam and cam follower mechanism adjusts belt tension to the load requirement and stabilizes the pitch diameter setting regardless of load fluctuations. The peripheral support of the cam followers also reduce wear on the sliding face bearing surface.

Lubrication-Free
    The combination of a surface treated pulley shaft and steel-backed non metallic bushings eliminate the necessity of lubrication and prevent fretting corrosion.

Fixed Center Drives

 

 

 

Compact

Asymmetric drives require a minimum of space in a C-Flow configuration relative to their horsepower capacity.

Reduced Overhung Load

    The nearly perpendicular angle of the fixed pulley faced profile locates the point of bending moment close to mounting shaft bearings and still allows belt alignment to be maintained throughout the drive's speed range.

Superior Belt Capacity

    The asymmetrically designed belt has uniformly tensioned tensile members and superior lateral stability under high load conditions. The result is greater horsepower capacity per belt width than symmetric belts.

Torque Sensing Design

    Belt tension is adjusted to the load requirements. Bushing wear is reduced because of the peripheral support of the cam followers and there are no torque carrying keys.

Permanent Lubrication

    Steel backed teflon impregnated bushings in the sliding pulley face in conjunction with surface treated pulley shafts provide lifetime lubrication.
